I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist (Severnside Institute for Psychotherapy, Bristol), registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council. I initially trained as a Dramatherapist at Roehampton University, London, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. With twenty years working in mental health in the NHS in London and Bristol and in private practice, I bring extensive experience to the psychotherapy sessions.
Whilst practising as a psychotherapist, I also individually supervise therapists and professionals, and run supervision and reflective practice groups. I taught in higher education for 15 years, for the MA Dramatherapy programme at Roehampton University.
My fee is £65.00, and the practice is located close to Cardiff centre. Psychotherapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration, once or twice weekly.
About Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an explorative and open-ended way of working in therapy. As well as thinking about the familiar and known aspects of life, the psychodynamic psychotherapy helps to uncover and identify parts that feel out of reach to know or understand.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy comes from psychoanalytic roots and adopts theories from Sigmund Freud and Melanie Klein, to contemporary psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapists worldwide.
The Psychotherapy allows time to focus on yourself, without interruption and with the quality of open space.
